Multi-Media Filter (MMF)
MMF contains three layers of media consisting of an anthracite, silica sand and garnet, with a bottom supporting layer of gravel. It is used to reduce the level of suspended solids and turbidity in raw water. Incoming feed water that is high in suspended solids can cause a high pressure drop and reduce the effectiveness of downstream filtration equipment such as RO membranes and ion exchange beds.
Activated Carbon Filter (ACF)
ACF works via a process called chemical adsorption. This unit generally used in water treatment for dechlorination and removing of organic compounds, taste and odour from industrial feed water. However, ACF is not effective at removing of minerals, salts, and dissolved inorganic compounds which can eliminate by reverse osmosis membranes and ion exchange resin.
Microfiltration (MF) / Ultrafiltration (UF)
MF/UF is a low pressure driven membrane separation process that separates particulate matter from soluble components in feed water. MF has a pore size around 0.1 µm whereas UF has pore sizes in the range of 0.01 – 0.10 µm and have a high removal capability for turbidity, colloidal substances and silt. MF/UF unit is an alternative technology to be replaced conventional pretreatment system that require chemical precipitation, sedimentation, and filtration process.
Reverse Osmosis (RO)
Application of RO is a widely accepted unit operation for demineralized and ultra pure water treatment system. RO used semi-permeable membrane to remove up to 99% of dissolved solids (TDS), colloidal silica, total organic carbon (TOC) and suspended matters from the free water source. The sizing of the RO system will greatly vary based upon the concentration of dissolved solids in the raw water.
Ion Exchange System
Demineralized water treatment systems remove dissolved minerals from process water used in boiler make-up water and other industrial applications. The most common methods of demineralization water are membrane application and Ion Exchange Resin system. Our demineralized water system consists of Twin Bed, CAC, Softener and degasifier to increase the purity of demineralized water, a single unit of polisher which is Cation Polisher will implement into the CAC to increase the purity of water.
Mixed Bed System
A mixed-bed unit will be required if the product water specification is below that achievable from the demineralization plant alone or higher degree of safety is required to ensure water quality. We optimize the combination of ion exchange unit and membrane systems to deliver customized demineralization systems that meet the needs of our clients. This process differs essentially from the separate bed system in that the two strong ion exchange resins, Cation and the Anion, are homogenous mixed in a single vessel.
Electrodeionization (EDI)
EDI is a advanced technology combines membrane system with ion-exchange resin to provide a high efficiency demineralization process by using electricity as driven force for semiconductor, pharmaceutical and general industry. EDI system utilizes an electrode by current supply to ionize water molecules and separate dissolved solid (TDS) from RO permeate water to produced high purity water.
Wastewater / Effluent Treatment System
We are the provider of innovative and environmentally sustainable wastewater technology and services for a diversified range of industries. Our comprehensive range of systems are designed to be cost-effective and yet highly reliable. We provide one-stop-solutions for wastewater treatment including process development, detailed design, construction and commissioning.
Physical Chemical Treatment Systems (PCTS)
PCTS covers the range of treatment processes that remove a variety of impurities from influent or wastewater. This unit operation consists of pH adjustment, coagulation, flocculation and sedimentation or floatation processes. The process will remove specific impurities and produce treated water suitable for either discharge or next process step biological treatment depending on overall process.
Biological Treatment Systems
Biological treatment is the succeeding method after physical chemical treatment to remove high concentration of BOD, COD, and Organic matter. Biological process takes place in activated sludge systems in conventional method by using microorganism that grow in wastewater. It provides long retention time and sufficient oxygen and nutrient for microorganism to cultivate.
Dewatering Systems
The flocs which settle as slurry during physical-chemical treatment will be transferred for dewatering process. The purpose of dewatering is to reduce the moisture content of sludge generated. The sludge is depressed by high pressure to eliminate the water content. By using state-of-the-art dewatering system, the sludge capacity and its disposal cost is cut down.
Tubewell Water Treatment Systems
A tube well is a type of water well in which a long wide stainless steel tube or pipe is bored into an underground layer of water. Soon Ngai Engineering provides turnkey solutions from drilling, rehabilitations, pumping and post treatment in all tube well water programme.
Iron Removal Filters
The Iron Removal Filters are designed to remove the Excess Iron content present in the feed water with minimum pressure drop. Most iron filtration systems operate on the principal of oxidizing the iron (oxidation) to convert it from a ferrous (dissolved or soluble) to a ferric or undissolved state. Once the iron is converted to ferric state, it is precipitated on a filter bed.
Thermal Deaeration System
Thermal Deaeration system which is a water treatment technology that removes dissolved oxygen and other dissolved gases from water by increasing the water temperature and the pressure and this is achieved in our Thermal Deaerator by steam injection. Thermal Degassing, by removing all kinds of dissolved gases from water, reduces the requirement for chemical treatment and thereby ensures equipment’s longevity, maintains steam quality and reduces operating costs.
